Layout 73 of 120

Now  know you thinking that you've seen this one before, and you would be right.  I created this layout for a swap back in June, but failed to make one for myself.  So I recreated it, and am waiting for the great pictures I took at the park last week to put on it.

So why am I posting it again?  This will be the layout we will be creating in our Kit Club for September.  I only have 3 kits left, so contact me today for more information on how you can get it.

Don't forget to check out my blog candy - you only have until tomorrow to enter before I make the big draw for the winner.

I will be working on updating my blog with my upcoming events over the next week, so be sure to check back to see what I'm offering from now until February!  For those of you that receive my newsletter, I hope to have the September issue out  by the end of today.  If you don't receive my newsletter but would like do, just drop me an email and let me know.

CTMH New Product Hop

Welcome to the Close to My Heart New Product Blog Hop!!  Over 50 Fabulous CTMH Consultants are celebrating the release of the 2010 Autumn/Winter Idea Book by giving you a sneak peak of the new products that will be available to order September 1st.

If you are here from Lisa's blog, you are on the right track.  You can find the complete list of participants on Erin's blog.

This is so simple to do, once you finish with my post, click on the next person's name to see what fabulous creations they have made.

So go grab a cup of tea, sit back, relax, enjoy the rest of the hop and don't forget to make you wish list of the great new products!

I love the new "A Sip"  My Acrylix stamp.  The possibilities with this stamp are endless - add it to a layout as a cup of hot chocolate with marsh mellows for those post skating or sledding pictures, use it for a "mommy and me coffee morning" invitation, make a set thank you cards and use them as a gift, just to name a few.

I've created a cute little tea holder out of the new Olivia paper pack.  How cute would these be at Christmas time to use for kringleing your co-workers.

The steam from the cup is made using the second generation technique, and the cup was stamp, cut out and placed down using 3-D pop dots.

Paper:  Olivia (X7128B)
My Acrylix Stamp Set:  A sip (A1109)
Inks: Smoothie (Z2196), Cocoa (Z2114)

The Hooligans paper is also very cute - I love it more in person than I did in the catalogue.  For something fun and different I made a cover for post-it notes.  They are so easy to make. If you are attending my Open House on Aug 28, you will be creating one of these using the Hooligan paper.  The little Monster is to cute and I love how it comes in pieces so you can create a different one each time.  The monster is from the "Troublemaker" My Acrylix stamp set which is only available in the Hooligans Workshop on the Go kit.

I added sparkles by first covering the areas with liquid glass, and then sprinkling with prisma glitter - be careful it can get messy.  :)

Paper:  Hooligans (X7129B)
My Acrylix Stamp Set:  Troublemaker (only available in the Hooligans WOTG- G1012)
Inks: Gypsy (Z2190), Pear ((Z2197)
Embellishments:  Liquid glass (Z679) and prisma glitter (Z134)

I hope you've enjoyed checking out my creations, but now it's time to hop on over to Lori's blog to see her creation.  Be sure to visit all the consultant's blogs to see all of their artwork featuring the new paper, stamp sets and more!

Remember the 2010 Autumn Winter Idea Book goes live September 1st!

Christmas Tags

Here is the first Christmas tag that I made for a swap I am hosting. It didn't look quite like it did in my head, so I treid again and came up with this one:

I do like this one better, but need to find something else for the berries.  Oh - and the ribbon isn't attached because I pulled it to tight and ripped the tag.  So a small word of advice - don't pull the ribbon too much, or wait for your order of eyelets to come and use those.

Supplies used for tag #1 (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Paper: Evensong
Stamps: Christmas Melodies
Ink:  Cranberry, New England Ivy
Embellishments: White Sassy Strands, Pewter Brads

Supplies used for tag #2 (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Paper: Evensong Creative Basics, Colonial White CS, Olive CS
Stamps: Christmas Melodies

Ink:  Cranberry, New England Ivy

Embellishments: Cranberry grossgrain ribbon, Pewter Brads, sparkles

Layout 70 of 120

This layout was also completed using some "leftover" paper.  Can't wait to add the pictures and embellishments.

Supplies used(all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Pattern: Imagine: Monologue
Paper: Zippidee

Layout 69 of 120

This may be the first time I've used dessert sand as the base for a layout and I definitely think it's the first time I've used black for photo mats.  I do need to learn to step out of my comfort zone. :)

Minuet from Imagine using Zippidee.

Layout 68 of 120

Do you ever sit down and start to cut the paper for your project and as you're piecing it together wonder why you ever decided those papers would be a good combination?

This is one of those layouts.  I wasn't sure that I liked it at all, but after I started actually putting it together it started to grow on me.

It is Jazzy Combination from the Imagine Book and uses the Cherry-O paper pack.

It is the week 10 layout from Helen's Challenge.

Layout 67 of 120

While I was on vacation a few weeks ago, I took the time to work on a few pages adn try to use up some of my "leftovers.  This layout - Visual Texture from Cherish uses the Unforgettable Paper pack.  The journalling circle on the left page is from the Unforgettable My Stickease assortment.  I think this will be a great baby girl page - I can already see the extra ribbon and flowers on it.

This was also the week 9 layout over at Helen's blog.

Layout 66 of 120

Abstract from Cherish using Zippidee.  I wasn't sure if I liked this when I was cutting the paper for it, but I think it turned out ok, and will look much better once I add some embellishments.  This is also the layout for Helen's Scrapbook Challenge week 1.

Zippidee Workshop on the Go.  I know it looks "blank" without the pictures, but think of how much better it will look once they are in :)

Thank You Card

Here is the Thank you card I made for a swap.  I used the topstitch paper pack.  I ran out of baby pink paper so some are made with heavenly blue instead.  The middle of the flower is a button with a brad through it.

Sympathy Card

This is the sympathy card I completed for a swap.  I did make a few changes for the ones I actually sent but forgot to take a picture.  The butterfly is embossed using vineyard berry.  For the one I sent for the swap, I added a piece of cocoa card stock behind the butterfly, as well as a couple of buttons in the corner.
